Terry Towel Baby Wipes - Surely Not?

Surely so!

You may think I have a bit of an obsession about baby wipes. This could be true, but then again the first step to healing is acceptance.

More than anything, I just don't like spending anything more than I have to on a product that is only used for a few seconds at a time (is that denial?).

Anyway, a trusted friend has recommended the following: Cheeky Wipes. Essentially, they are terry towelling bottom wipes which you use in exactly the same way as moist wipes. My friend explained that she finds them better - more absorbent and holds the poo, instead of wiping it around (sorry if you're eating lunch right now).

If you follow the instructions on their website, you don't have to handle or indeed smell the poo all - it's all rather discreetly contained in their bag and box. My friend also advised that you really can't smell anything at all. At ALL!

The kit costs £35 and the company claim that over their lifetime will save you £200.

Might be worth a try!

Now, where did I put those baby wipes?

  1. As your trusted friends husband, I can confirm all is true about the cheeky wipes. They are way better than the throwaway wipes at cleaning.

Cheeky wipes do a version made from bamboo that are that bit softer. We use them as face wipes on the little fella.

The hardest part is when the cheeky wipes are in the wash, we have to revert then to the disposable wipes. Best way to describe using them... not so much cleaning but poo herding!

  2. Just a quick update from said trusted friend, we do bamboo wipes on our little fella's face but we use "Little Lamb" ones and not the Cheeky Wipes ones. This way it very easy to differentiate which ones are for his face and which ones are not ... wouldn't want to get them mixed up!

  3. Poo herding? I like it! Conjures quite an image!

Good plan re the face wipes/bottom wipes differential too.

Do you reckon the washable wipes have saved you money?
